Note: We are closed on Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Daytime Admission:
Adults $10 (5 years and older)
Children 4 and under are FREE!
Group rates (10 or more people in one transaction): $8 per person.
Night Trains Admission:
$15 per guest, children 4 and under are FREE!

Museum Garage Sale – Dates TBD. Find your next treasure at our museum garage sale. This sale will be held in our front conference room. No admission required!
Night Trains – Summer Edition
Join us on June 22nd, July 20th and August 17th from 3-7pm for a summer verion of Night Trains! Enjoy the layouts in a whole new light! IF you haven’t seen the museum at night, you are missing out! The event runs from 3:00pm to 7pm. $10 per guest, children 4 and under are free.
Night Trains Season – Every Saturday from October 19th, 2024 to February 22, 2025. The event runs from 3:00pm to 7pm, tickets will be sold for 2 hour time blocks. $15 per guest, children 4 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at tcmrm.eventbrite.com. Advanced tickets recommended for nights in December to ensure we don’t exceed building capacity.

- October – Halloween “Spooky” Night Trains – October 19th and 26th – See spooky trains and Halloween decorations on the layouts! Costumes are welcome! Treats will be handed out. (Spooky Trains admission is only $10 per person)
- November – We are slowly switching from Halloween trains to winter decorations and Christmas decorations.
- Black Friday Night Trains – Friday, November 29th – make the museum part of your Thanksgiving weekend plans!
- December – Santa visits the museum DATES TBD! Take a photo with Santa and get the chance to ask for that gift you’ve really wanted!
- Christmas and New Year’s Week Bonus Nights – December 16th, 20th, 23rd, 27th, 30th, and Jan. 3rd – looking to entertain guests from out of town or need a break from shopping? Come enjoy the sights of sounds of our miniature trains as a break from the holiday hustle.
- January – Christmas decorations will end in January but we will maintain winter decorations through February. Make a resolution to visit the museum in 2025!
- February – Special events TBD!

The Transfer Road facility is handicap accessible, restrooms are also provided.
Parking is FREE and provides ample space for cars and buses.
The museum is conveniently located between downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul. From Interstate 94, take the Cretin/Vandalia exit and go north on Cretin/Vandalia 3 blocks. Turn right (east) onto University Avenue and go 1 block. Turn left (north) on Transfer Road. The museum entrance is just after the railroad tracks on your right. (east side of Transfer Road).
